In a world full of Instagram influencers & bodybuilding “experts” we are being flooded with more than enough fitness tips to keep us busy reading for weeks. The issue with this is simple: What do you actually trust? What do you read and implement to actually change your life and live a healthier, happier lifestyle? Although fitness can seem to be challenge and difficult to decipher, the old phase KISS( Keep It Simple Stupid) is the best way to navigate the gym floor and the supermarket. These fitness tips below are not just fitness tips, but diet tips, as well as lifestyle tips that will help change your health and wellness levels without needing to spend multiple hours in a fitness center.

We spoke about it a bit earlier but keep it simple. Fitness does not need to be hard. People have been fit since the cavemen ran the world and I bet you they didn’t follow a “30 day to a Kim K booty” plan. The movements that have been around forever are usual the best bang for your buck.
2. The Essential Nine

Did you know you could have an amazing workout with very simple technique and movements that have been around since fitness was invented back in the day? Your routine should always involve: Pushups, Pull-ups, Squats, Deadlifts, Shoulder Press, Lunges, Hip Thrust, Plank, and Burpees.
3. Drink Water

You have to stay hydrated otherwise your body will not work to its optimal level. The easiest way to do this is to hit half your body weight in ounces of water. Example being if you weigh 180 lbs, you will need to drink 90 ounces of water. Does that sound hard? Want to cut that number down in an instant each day? Check out our next tip.
4. 16 Ounces of Water

Start your day off on a high note with 16 ounces of water. You fast as you sleep so not only do you need to eat but you need to rehydrate your body as well. This will also help wake your body up to get it ready to move through your busy day.

Some people hate to drink water and need a taste. Well add some lemon juice to your water. This helps add a great taste to your drink as well as aid in digestion and promote weight loss.

Gut health is overlooked in this culture anymore because it doesn’t give you six pack abs. What if I told you though that it does help with bloating each day and help display those abs you are building in the gym. Add this to your morning routine to aid in bloating and digestion.
7. Create a Fitness doorway

Do you have a room where you walk in and out of it a lot through your daily routine? To make sure you don’t miss out on fitness due to “being busy”, make a doorway a fitness routine. Each time you pass through it do ten reps of an exercise. An example is adding a set of weights and doing ten bicep curls each time you walk through the door.
8. 5 Minutes of Breathing

We live in a crazy and fast paced world, we all could use a little relaxing. Set a reminder five times a day to do deep breathing for one full minute. Breath in your nose for four seconds, hold for four seconds, breath out your mouth for four seconds. This will help lower your heart rate and make your daily routine seem less stressful.
9. Green Dots
Positive Affirmations can help lead you into the correct mind frame for the day. Place green dots throughout your daily routine and each time you see one remember to say something positive about yourself or your day. Perfect example is on the fridge or your front door.
10. Read for 10 minutes

Your body can be as fit as ever but you must flex your mental capacity as well. Make sure to read something for ten minutes a day to keep your brain flowing. This will help your brain when it is in decision mode throughout your day or help you wind down at night before bed.
11. Always Have Two Books

Have one book that motivates you in the morning and one book that captures your mind to help you unwind at night. The best suggestion is a self help book in the morning to get you moving, and a great novel at night to sweep you away from the stressors of the day.
12. Put Your Phone Down

We live in a social media world, its inevitable that you will be on your phone for majority of the day so I wont ask you to stop. However I suggest picking a set time frame(tomato method-explained later) and don’t check your phone during those time frames and learn to live your life without it.
13. Tomato Method

Discussed a bit above the tomato method will bring productivity to your life. Set your phone for a 25 minute timer and then put it down. Remember you cant use your phone during this point so get to living your life. Do some chores, finish that work project, maybe sneak in a quick workout. When the timer goes off you have five minutes to check your phone. Follow this method through the day and watch your productivity rise and your screen time fall.
14. Dead Hangs
Cant do a pull-up? Well add deadhangs into your life instead! This is when you hang from a pull-up bar and keep a nice straight body until failure. This will help build multiple muscle groups as well as your ability to grip a pull-up bar, one of the biggest issues people have when trying to perform multiple reps of pullups.
15. Set A Fitness Goal

Fitness goals leave you accountable to actually workout. Even if the goal is something superficial like “ I want to look good for my wedding.” Having a deadline helps keep your brain engaged on completing said task.
16. Rest Days
Yes, you can have rest days. Your body needs it and it is important for you to rest so you can come back stronger. A great way to build your routine is either 2 days of workouts followed by a rest day or 3 days of a workout followed by one day of rest.
17. 48 Hours
Muscles are broken down while working out. This means they need rest when you decide to start a routine. If you decide to hit your upper body on Monday give yourself two full days off before returning to the upper body again. Your muscles will thank you and you will see the strength and definition at an earlier stage than most people.
18. Hot To Cold Showers
Not everyone can afford a cold tub like the professional players, so how can you aid in recovery? Simple answer is : change the temperature in your shower. Spend a few minutes in a warm setting followed by a few minutes with ice cold water. This will aid in recovery and help your body heal faster and be ready sooner for your next session.
19. Save Money When Ordering Food
First things first, just don’t order food! However if you MUST order something here is a way to stop yourself from ordering as much when you finally indulge. The goal is to put a total $ price that you will take and put away in a saving each time you order food. An example would be $10 each time you order food. Now each meal cost that much more and if you keep failing at this step, at least you’ll have money put away for savings.
20. Forgive Yourself

People miss workouts. People eat bad food.Things will happen that are off brand for your goals. However don’t punish yourself, just work on building streaks. Build streaks of how many days you eat healthy and when you fail start a new streak. Life is about living as well, never forget that.
This Fitness tips will help create a healthier lifestyle to live by in your everyday life. The best part of these fitness tips is that you can implement them all pretty quickly, or you can break these fitness tips down one by one and master one before moving on to the next.Next
